The Commissioners of the Land Office (CLO), a constitutionally created Oklahoma state agency, is seeking a Royalty Compliance Auditor to join our Royalty Compliance Division. This division ensures that CLO receives full and accurate royalty payments from over 4,000 oil and gas leases across the state—generating nearly $56 million annually.

 

As a Royalty Compliance Auditor, you’ll play a key role in conducting financial and royalty audits, analyzing production and payment data, and ensuring compliance with state laws, lease contracts, and regulations. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external operators using tools like Excel, Power BI, IDEA, and more.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (with at least 18 hours in accounting, auditing, or tax)

- 1+ year of experience in oil & gas accounting, tax compliance, or financial reporting

- Strong analytical, communication, and Excel skills

 

Preferred:

- Progress toward CPA, CMA, CIA, or CFE

- Experience with audit reports used in litigation
